What does getting recognised with a teaching award mean to me?

Winning this teaching award is a recognition of my innovative methods to engage students in complex theoretical courses. Beyond that, it symbolizes my resilience and growth while adapting to a new country like Vietnam, embracing solitude, and discovering the warmth of Vietnam’s culture and people. This award is a testament to my patience, perseverance, and the joy of working with incredible students.
My love for consumers

I am deeply fascinated by what drives consumer choices and behaviors. During my PhD fieldwork, I volunteered at a craft bazaar in multiple cities, observing how different cultural contexts influenced purchasing patterns. It was intriguing to see knowledgeable consumers engage with craft goods, the differences in bargaining behaviors across locations, and the underlying socio-cultural factors at play. This experience deepened my appreciation for the complexity and diversity of consumer behavior
My Love for Collaboration

Organizing events is a passion that allows me to curate meaningful audience experiences while fostering innovative teamwork. One memorable experience was organizing a panel discussion on careers in NGOs and NPOs. I recruited a diverse group of students through unique channels and assigned roles that leveraged their strengths. Providing them with tailored incentives and public recognition made the entire process incredibly fulfilling. It’s not just about the event itself, but the joy of bringing a team together and celebrating their contributions.
